Jewellery Care

At KLIA By Muriel A, we want your jewellery to remain stunning for years to come. In order to do so, it is a good idea to show your pieces a little love. This guide has been designed to help you care and maintain your jewellery to ensure that they stay looking their best.

Our pieces consist of a wide range of metals and materials, from Solid 18K Gold and Sterling Silver to Stainless Steel as well as wide variety of gemstones which means different care methods!

18K Gold

While our Solid 18K Gold jewellery is designed to last a lifetime and will never discolour and oxidise, it can still be susceptible to scratches and the stones on it can be subject to damage. We therefore recommend to scrub your pieces lightly with a toothbrush and warm water from time to time, and store them in individual pouches or jewellery boxes to prevent scratching.

Sterling Silver & Gold Plated

Sterling Silver is prone to tarnishing over time, so we recommend polishing your pieces regularly using a polishing cloth. For gold plated jewellery, gently clean with a soft cloth or cotton ball dipped in mild soapy water, then pat dry. It is also best to remove your jewellery before washing hands, bathing, swimming, working out or applying lotions and perfumes and to properly store items in a pouch or jewellery box.

Lastly, ensure proper care for the gemstones on your pieces. Clean them gently with a soft brush or cloth dipped in warm, soapy water, then rinse and pat dry. Avoid exposing them to harsh chemicals to maintain their brilliance.
